Dear Jesus, please help me...
If you prayed this prayer be assured that Jesus has heard you. And you have his full attention.

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

You are a whosoever. Whosoever includes everyone. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Will be taken into God's family. Adopted. You will have a new citizenship, a new birth, a new beginning.

If you wish to be taken into the Kingdom of God, out of the kingdom of Satan ... If you wish to be taken out of the kingdom of darkness and become a citizen of the Kingdom of Light ... If you wish to confirm your place in the Family of God. Then read through and pray the following prayer. It is like a pledge of allegiance for a person taking up citizenship in a new country.

Say this out loud so you can hear yourself.

Father-God in Heaven, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and I know that you'll not turn me away or cast me out because you said in Your word anyone that comes to me I will in no way cast out, throw away or discard ( John 6:37 ) and I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and I believe that he died for my sins according to the Scriptures, and I believe he was raised from the dead for my justification according to the Scriptures — justification means that I might be set right with God — I believe that because of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection I'm set right with God, so I receive Jesus as my Saviour and I confess him as my Lord, and Your word says in Romans 10 verse 9 whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved and I'm calling on you now so I know I'm saved, and You said that if I should confess with my mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead I will be saved, I'm confessing that with my mouth and believing it in my heart. You said with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with my heart I believe I am made right with God, and you said in Romans 10 verse 10 with the mouth confession is made unto salvation so with my mouth I confess Jesus is my Lord, I'm saved, I'm in the family of God, I have a new beginning and I'm on my way to heaven. Thank you Jesus!

Now Jesus has something else He wants you to have — forgiveness.

This is just between you and Jesus.

Again say this out loud.

Jesus forgive me of every sin of commission, the things that I have done that displeased you, sins of omission, the things that I have not done that would have pleased you, every wrong, fault, mistake and failure. Forgive me, and thank you for forgiving me and setting me in right relation with you.

Now Jesus has a special gift for you. (John 15:26) The Holy Spirit of God himself. Jesus said that He would be your own Comforter, Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby. I know that I need help often and He helps and teaches me things. He Teaches me things about Jesus and the Bible and just everyday things. If I need to know something He guides me to where I can learn it or sometimes he teaches me directly Himself.
(John 10:27; 14:14, 26; 15:26; 16:7) (Luke 11:9, 11-13)

Again, say this out loud.

Father when Jesus was here he promised to send us your Holy Spirit as our Comforter, Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby. Jesus also said that if we ask you for the gift of your Holy Spirit you would give him to us you would not withhold him from us and we would not get something else. I ask you now to fill me with your Spirit.

Holy Spirit I accept, welcome, and admit you into my heart and life as a gift to me from my Father in heaven.
Be my Comforter, Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby, now, in Jesus name. Amen.

Now, raise your hands towards heaven. You will begin to sense sounds coming up from inside you, begin to repeat them out loud. This is the voice of your reborn spirit expressing itself to God. (1 Corinthians 14:2)

The next step along the path of your new life is to get a Bible and read about your new life in Jesus. Start with the Books of John. The Gospel of John, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John then the Book of Romans.

I will be posting a recommended reading list and a Bible reading plan, but they are not ready just yet.

May God bless your new life!
